| Integral Institute believes that partial and
                                piecemeal approaches to complex problems are ineffective
                                and often counter-productive. Whether addressing
                                individual and personal issues of meaning and
                                well-being, or intractable social crisis such
                                as war, hunger, disease, poverty, homelessness,
                                and ecological despoliation, partial and fragmentary
                                approaches need to be replaced by solutions that
                                are more inclusive and balanced—or integral. Accordingly, the Institute has four main objectives: 1. To integrate the most research from
                                the most number of disciplines—including the natural
                                sciences (biology, chemistry, physics, etc.),
                                art, ethics, religion, psychology, politics, business,
                                social theory, and spirituality. 2. To develop practical products and services
                                from this research, for use by individuals, groups,
                                businesses, and organizations worldwide. 3. To apply this integrated knowledge
                                and method of problem solving in areas of urgent
                                need—especially the serious political, health,
                                educational, economic, environmental, and spiritual
                                problems facing humanity. These integral applications
                                are employed by the Institute's own members; by
                                certified Integral Friends and Partners; and by
                                organizational leaders and cultural pioneers trained
                                in the Integral Approach. 4. To create communities of Integral learning
                                and practice—academic, professional, personal,
                                and spiritual—where Integral applications can
                                be shared, implemented, tested, and refined. Integral Institute, a non-profit organization,
                                functions as the world's premier "think-and-practice
                                tank" for Integral research and applications;
                                as a provider of consulting services, workshops,
                                and conferences; as an open-source base for sharing
                                Integral knowledge and problem-solving strategies;
                                and as a network of the most influential Integral
                                thinkers and practitioners in the world.
 THE INTEGRAL VISION
 Integral Institute envisions a world in which
                                the knowledge and capacities of our collective
                                humanity are increasingly brought to bear upon
                                our most difficult problems—and our highest possibilities.
                                Integral Institute's core assumption is that by
                                helping individuals, companies, organizations,
                                governments, NGOs, and communities become Integrally
                                informed, they will be better able to effectively
                                chart their courses, making wiser decisions today
                                and in the future; develop successful, breakthrough
                                strategies to solve their most critical problems;
                                more strategically mobilize their resources to
                                implement desired solutions—and thus contribute
                                to dramatically improving the quality of life
                                on this planet.
