An Encore Presentation of Integral Institute's Groundbreaking Program!

Integral Consciousness is about discovering and displaying your Original Face, the One that smiles back from every Other.

This workshop is an initiation into integral consciousness—and an invitation to shine in service to All. Its exercises will help you develop an integral sense of self, and to recognize your (and everything else’s) essence as Being-Consciousness-Bliss. Its practices will help you establish an integral lifestyle that both supports and expresses your highest potential for love and work. Its group activities will connect you with other participants (and previous graduates) in a long-lasting integral community.

This workshop is not for the faint of heart, body and soul; it is not for those who equate “Integral” with “mental”, or those that imagine it is possible to “think” one’s way into enlightenment. This workshop is for people who can feel the beauty of the integral vision in their head, their heart and their gut. If your cognition is excited by the integral philosophy, your emotions aroused by the integral embrace, and your energy tickled by the integral One-Taste, Integral Consciousness is for you.

Your greatest gift is your deepest essence,
the one that integrates wisdom and compassion.

Your authentic self, the one that is free to BE, in fullness,
AS whatever arises moment by moment.

Your open heart, the one that can love through
any contractions and kinks of the personality.

The precious and unique manifestation
of Self you call “myself.”

In six intensely experiential days you will gain specific insights and learn practices to help you become an exemplar of integral consciousness. You will find the perfect setting for integrating your body, mind and spirit, and extending your more integrated self into the world. You will learn how to create a field of awareness and choice, supporting all sentient beings in their evolution towards higher levels of love, freedom, wisdom and compassion.

Integral Consciousness Dives Deeply Into the Most Critical Areas of Integral Development, Including ...

  • Integral Cognition - operating with an integral understanding that reveals the multiple dimensions of every situation (interior, exterior, individual, collective) and of every human being (lines, levels, states and types).

  • Unconditional Responsibility - taking effective, dignifying action in the face of all circumstances, regardless of who or what created them.

  • Authentic and Respectful Communication - engaging in constructive dialogues that honor everybody's truth, leading to task accomplishment, relationship building and personal sense of meaning and integrity.

  • Conditional and Unconditional Success - transcending fear and worry (natural in an out-of-control universe) and rooting oneself in confidence and peace (natural when focusing on one's own response-ability).

  • Personal Values and Virtues - finding one's calling and living in full alignment with its most ethical expression.

  • Integral Conflict Resolution - treating conflict as a polarity asking for integration through a creative process of "transcendence and inclusion" of all parties' concerns and interests.

  • Integrity-based Coordination of Action - building networks of commitments to produce quantum leaps in a team's collective performance.

  • Emotional Wisdom - managing emotional spaces through skills of awareness, regulation and expression.

  • Energy and Attention Management - understanding bio-energetic principles of mindfulness and applying them to professional and personal situations.

  • Integral Spirituality - Exploring questions of ultimate meaning such as "What is this Kosmos?" "Who am I?" "What does It All mean?" "How shall I live?" and bringing their power to bear on day-to-day interactions.

Enjoy a Week of Beautiful Rocky Mountain Summertime!

A typical day starts at 8AM with a yoga and energy session, followed by a meditation with a delta-wave technology that induces non-ordinary states of consciousness. We conclude this module with a community dialogue. In the second part of the morning, we apply the theory of integral development to the different levels (ego-centric, ethno-centric, world-centric, Kosmos-centric) of the major lines (cognitive, physical, emotional, moral, interpersonal, psychosexual, professional and spiritual), across the major types (masculine and feminine), in the different quadrants (I, We, It, Its).

After lunch we spend time outdoors with some short walks around the hotel and a couple of hour-long mountain hikes designed to accommodate and challenge every participant at his or her level of fitness. In the afternoons we have three extensive in-depth dialogues with Ken Wilber and several mind-expanding, heart-opening exercises that relax the personality’s contractions and allow the free-flow of Spirit’s luminosity. In the evenings we enjoy activities that are guaranteed to keep everybody awake—probably till well after we finish, at 10:30 or so.

Note: This workshop is action and practice oriented, and we will NOT work extensively with the cognitive aspects of the integral model.

Who Should Attend?

This seminar is for you if you aspire to follow the Delphic dictum: “Know Thyself!”, if you share the Socratic belief that “an unexamined life is not worth living”, if you are willing to pursue Ramana Maharshi’s question “Who Am I?” until its ultimate consequence.

This seminar is for you if you want to offer your deepest self as a gift to the world. We welcome you as a manager in a for profit or non-profit organization, a health care practitioner, an educator, a consultant, an engineer, a counselor, a coach, a home-maker, an artist or a practitioner of any other profession.

We ask that you bring your passion to live life to the fullest, and manifest such fullness in engaged service to others and the world. We ask that you have the courage to step open-heartedly into the unknown and be willing to join others in a transformational learning community.

Rave Reviews!

More than 80 people participated in Integral Institute’s first two offerings of Integral Consciousness in February 2004. Here’s some of what they had to say about the workshop:

Next to my wedding day and the birth of my two children, this workshop was the best experience of my life. It renewed my sense of meaning and belonging in the world and, consequently, transformed my sense of being. It has empowered me to live my life in new ways. I found myself stretched mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually, far beyond my current understanding of myself and others. And I loved and embraced what I discovered. – T.L. Poling, managing partner, MetaDynamics

The work with Fred and the group resulted in what I am interpreting as a powerful spiritual transmission. I had my heart opened and still carry a warm, beautiful, beaming image there of Fred, the group and our work. In addition, I came away with a wealth of tools for the relative realm that will serve me well in my leadership position at the university. The structure and process of the week were perfect and the mixture of activities kept me focused for the entire time. The final experience was more amazing than I could have ever imagined. – Elliott Ingersoll, Chairperson, Department of Counseling, School Administration, Supervision, & Adult Learning, Cleveland State University

Fred is a gem, what a blessing. The man is his awareness. There is no theory here. What he teaches is who he is. This man exudes integrity, respect, intelligence, vision and deep compassion. I have been touched by this man at a transformative level. Fred, you are a walking blessing. Thank you for living your purpose. All of my students and clients will benefit because I had the opportunity to study with you. – Victoria Wilson, M.S., Consultant and Educator, Sacred Circle.

Fred is an impeccable warrior. He knows that integral leadership is not something to teach primarily from a theoretical viewpoint, but rather must be demonstrated. Fred worked hard and effectively to not only prepare us for a good life, but for a good death, and whatever comes after that. He helped us to plumb the depths of our being, to know why we are here, and to live and die accordingly. There is no greater gift to give, and I appreciate this from the bottom of my heart. There are tears in my eyes as I write this, tears of gratitude that one human being would so thoroughly, with such commitment, give so fully of himself to give this gift to us. – John Records, Executive Director, Committee on the Shelterless.

Fred is truly an amazing human being. Holding the space for one week with the energy and enthusiasm was incredible. It was not just the processes that he led us through, but the sincerity, support, and encouragement that came from his heart that motivated all of us. I was personally lightened by his personality and openness to the moment. – Tom Wolsko, Division Director, Decision and Information Sciences, Argonne National Laboratory

I listened to “Conscious Business” before arriving at the seminar. Having felt I somewhat knew Fred from the audiotapes I arrived having great confidence in him. I was pleasantly surprised to find him much more dynamic in person. His intuition as well as his ability to be flexible made all the information he provided flow beautifully. I truly feel that my understanding of leadership has improved tremendously after having an opportunity to work with Fred. – Luanne O’Brien, Co-Founder, Conscious Alternatives
